OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The ability to have a beer at a concert or basketball game at the Oshkosh Arena may be in jeopardy.
An item on the Oshkosh City Council’s agenda for Tuesday night says, “schedule hearing suspension/revocation of “Class B” license” for the arena. The council meets at 6 p.m.
According to the city, the arena still owes back property taxes, although the city is in talks to resolve the issue.
FOX 11 left a message with the arena staff Tuesday morning, seeking comment.
It’s not the first time the arena has had financial issues with the city, as utility and other bills were unpaid before a bankruptcy reorganization several years ago.
The arena is home to the Wisconsin Herd, the Milwaukee Bucks’ affiliate in the NBA G League, and the Wisconsin GLO women’s pro basketball team. The arena has also hosted concerts and other special events.
