ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ) — There will be almost as many people at Lambeau Field Saturday as typically attend a sold-out Packers home game as top European Soccer Clubs FC Bayern Munich and Manchester City take to the field for a friendly exhibition match.
Packers Spokesman Aaron Popkey says it’s going to be a lot like a home game.
“It’s going to be much like a home Packer game in terms of when the parking lots open, when gates open,” Popkey told WTAQ.
but with a distinctly different flavor.
“Of course, it’s a different sport,” said Popkey. “We do believe we’ll have a lot of first timers.”
Some of those will be coming from very far away.
“We’ve got people who have purchased tickets from all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the District of Columbia,” explained Popkey. “Then we have fans from 19 different countries who have purchased tickets.”
That includes fans from Europe, South America, Mexico, and Canada.
Both teams will have their merchandise available at the team shop.
Parking details and more are available at Packers.com.
