FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Investigators arrested an armed person with large quantities of high-grade marijuana, ketamine, oxycodone and several other drugs last week.
The suspect is from out of state and is suspected of traveling to Wisconsin to sell the drugs.
While the arrest occurred last week, the investigation has been ongoing with collaboration between the Fond du Lac and Winnebago county sheriff’s offices as well as the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group – Drug Unit.
Fond du Lac County sheriff’s officials pulled the driver over on Highway 151.
With the help of drug dogs, the following substances were found: 10 pounds of high-grade marijuana, three-fourths of a pound of high potency THC wax, over seven pounds of THC edibles, quantities of suspected heroin, LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, ketamine and oxycodone.
A handgun and $21,000 in cash were also seized during the search as well as the vehicle.
The driver was arrested for possession and distribution of illegal controlled substances and a weapons violation.
The investigation is still ongoing. Authorities have not released the suspect’s name.
