(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped 2-of-3 to the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend including an 8-6 loss at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Sunday.
Brewers manager Craig Counsell said the Brewers just didn’t get enough runs.
Counsell said the bullpen couldn’t hold it together, either.
The bullpen gave up 5 runs over the final 4 innings with Trevor Gott taking the loss. Gott gave up the tying and go-ahead runs to the Pirates in the sixth inning.
Eric Lauer started for the Brewers and went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7 and he talked about his start.
Lauer said he wasn’t finishing his pitches.
The Brewers are off today. They will play the Minnesota Twins in a two-game series starting tomorrow.
