MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — There’s Monkeypox in Wisconsin.
That coming down from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services on Friday.
It’s been detected in a Dane County resident. DHS officials say the risk to the general public remains low.
The disease doesn’t spread easily, requiring prolonged contact with body fluids. There are nearly 400 cases of the virus in the US.
