The Milwaukee Brewers wrapped up Cactus League play with a 5-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. Adrian Houser tuned up for the regular season working 6 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out 4. Brent Diaz hit a two run homer as the Brewers built a 4-0 lead. The Royals got the game even plating four in the top of the 8th. Devin Williams walked three straight batters and committed a balk that led to two runs and Stiven Cruz gave up two more before Terrance Dotson broke the tie with an RBI single in the bottom of the 8th. Milwaukee went 7-9-2 in exhibition play. The team now heads north to open the regular season Thursday afternoon in Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs. Corbin Burnes will face Kyle Hendricks on opening day. The game can be heard on WTAQ with pre-game coverage getting underway at 12:45 PM with the first pitch at 1:20 PM.
