GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The polls are officially closed in the spring non-partisan primary election across the state. There were a number of popular and hotly contested local races taking place.
The Green Bay City Council race has been getting a lot of attention lately, as outside dark money has been targeting the non-partisan contest with heavy partisan advertising and influences.
Mayor Eric Genrich and his office have also been under fire for the events of the past three elections, which have raised concerns and drawn close eyes – particularly from the state’s Republican party. Along with attracting the ire of an investigation into the 2020 presidential election, it also launched efforts to bring in election observers, which again, has already triggered controversy.
