ASHWAUBENON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A new beer exhibit is coming to the National Railroad Museum, starting on Saturday.
It’s called “The Milwaukee Beer Line: From Grain to Glass.”
It focuses on a freight train that went through the Milwaukee Railroad in 1952. The train delivered supplies to three main distributors: Pabst, Blatz and Schlitz.
The exhibit will feature replica beer memorabilia and photos taken 70 years ago.
“We’ve also got brew memorabilia here, brewerania, so some of the things that were placed in the bars and taverns at the time,” said Daniel Liedtke, curator at the museum. “So we have things more from the 50s, 60s and 70s that were in the bars, and now these are all collectible items. So it goes along with those three breweries.”
The exhibit is open to the public through the end of the year in the Fuller Gallery.
