GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — The Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge in downtown Green Bay will open as planned Today.
It’s been closed for around four weeks for repairs. Public Works Director Steve Grenier says despite the deep cold this month, things are wrapping up on schedule.
“We were a little concerned that things wouldn’t wrap up in time, but the contractor has done a fantastic job and is able to keep schedule,” Grenier told WTAQ on Friday.
Grenier says that people managed to handle detours pretty well during the closure, and that impact on traffic was minimal.
