OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — The remains of a man found in Winnebago County back in 2015 have been identified.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s office says genome testing on the remains, which were found near a set of railroad tracks across County Road GG in the Town of Vinland, led them to identify the man as Roland D. Klug of Oshkosh.
Klug, born in 1949, was a Vietnam War veteran who was originally from the Waupun area.
No cause or date of death has been released.
