FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ) – One suspect is in custody and another is still being sought after an armed robbery at a Kohl’s Department Store in Fond Du Lac Sunday.
The robbery happened shortly after 5:30 Sunday afternoon at 913 W. Johnson Street.
Police say two males entered the store, one armed with a hammer, and started to smash open display cases and began taking jewelry.
While officers were responding to the scene, bystanders were able to detain one of the suspects.
The suspect, a 29 year old man, was taken into custody when officers arrived.
The second suspect was able to get away on foot before police got on scene. He was last seen running north.
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male with a medium build and was last seen wearing a yellow and green traffic vest and dark pants.
The stolen jewelry was recovered by police.
No injuries were reported.
