SHAWANO, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Shawano County campground owner is now in custody after an arrest warrant was issued for her on Tuesday.
Ann Retzlaff didn’t show up for a court appearance on charges of eluding and resisting police, leading to the warrant being issued.
Police tried to pull Retzlaff over for failure to stop at a traffic light on May 15th.
Retzlaff told police she was rescuing an employee from sex traffickers, which is why she didn’t stop, and maintained she didn’t do anything wrong.
The Shawano County Sheriff, Adam Beiber, confirmed her arrest.
