HOWARD, WI (WTAQ) — Brown County Sheriff’s Officials responded to a hostage complaint early Friday morning, but it turns out nobody was ever in danger.
Police say someone called 911 reporting that a woman was being held hostage by two men in a Velp Avenue apartment complex in Howard.
That caused Sheriff’s deputies to respond and evacuate neighboring apartments.
Deputies say the complaint was false and that someone was upset with the people at the apartment. Sheriff’s officials are looking to press charges against the complainant.
