APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) –Appleton police say they are working with the DNR after a person and dog were attacked by a deer.
The person and dog encountered the aggressive animal in the area of Linwood Park last week.
The person and dog sustained minor injuries.
The Appleton Police Department Humane Officer and the DNR are trying to find solutions to this problem.
In the meantime, police are issuing the following tips:
- View wildlife from a distance
- Keep dogs on a leash
- Do not feed the wildlife in parks
- Do not pick up or touch wildlife
- Stay alert, especially at dawn and dusk
