MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The suspect in a Two Rivers murder pleaded not guilty Friday.
Joshua Walcott, 19, is charged with first-degree intentional homicide and several other counts for the May 17 shooting of Malachi Moore during an argument at a home.
A police detective testified Friday at a preliminary hearing, after which Walcott was ordered to stand trial. An arraignment was then held, with the not guilty then entered.
No trial date was set. A status conference is planned for Jan. 5.
In the complaint prosecutors allege Walcott and Moore were arguing over who made more money. A witness said the argument grew more intense and the two were getting in each other’s faces. The witness said Walcott grabbed a gun from on top of a dresser and began waving it around, eventually firing the shot that killed Moore.
