GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — It’s been a warm start to October.
Even though it’s been much more temperate over the past week than it was during the heat of summer, National Weather Service Meteorologist Rich Mamrosh says we are currently around 11 degrees above normal in Northeast Wisconsin.
“It’s very much above normal,” he told WTAQ. “If this keeps up through the rest of the month, I’m sure we will be either the warmest October or in the top five.”
It doesn’t look like it’s going to let up anytime soon, either.
“As of right now, the extended models don’t show any substantial cool air coming our way,” said Mamrosh.
Those models predict about 10 days out.
Mamrosh says a few more, even longer models predict a mid-November cool down, but that could be subject to change.
