CUMBERLAND, WI (WSAU) — Officers in Douglas County have found the vehicle of a woman who was reported missing over the weekend.
Hailey Anderson’s 1998 Honda CRV was found crashed in an undisclosed area on Monday, though they believe the crash may have occurred on Thursday, September 16th
A deceased female body was also found at the scene. Officers say they believe it may be Anderson, but they haven’t confirmed that yet.
A statewide BOLO for Anderson was issued over the weekend after friends and family said they hadn’t heard from her in more than a week. She was last seen leaving a casino in Turtle Lake on September 16th. She was supposed to meet friends in the Hibbing, Minnesota area but never made it to her destination.
No further information has been released. An autopsy is being conducted to confirm the identity of the body that was found at the crash site.
