GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle to school Friday morning on Green Bay’s east side.
Police say the crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Porlier Street and S. Monroe Avenue. The car was headed west on Porlier and turning north on Monroe. The driver told police she didn’t see the child in the crosswalk.
The driver, a 35-year-old woman, was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
The boy’s injuries were not life-threatening.
