APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man who is facing charges in an Appleton shooting, is now suspected in another shooting, police say.
William D. Hayes, 18, of Oshkosh, is accused in a shooting that happened in the 1100 block of W. Glendale Ave. on June 20. No one was hurt in the incident.
The Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office says it has referred recklessly endangering safety and criminal damage to property charges against Hayes.
Hayes has been in custody since Aug. 5 when police arrested him in connection with a shooting that took place in the 900 block of W. Lawrence St. on July 17. In that incident, investigators determined that an illegal drug transaction occurred, resulting in a single shot fired. No one was injured.
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Appleton Police Department at 920-832-5500.
