GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — It’s been raining a lot, and don’t expect that to change.
There’s a chance of rain and storms in the forecast through Thursday.
“We’ve had several periods of rain over the weekend, we’re having more today as well, and then even a little bit more over the next couple days,” said National Weather Service Meteorologist Rebecca Hykin. “We’ve had a very moist atmosphere kind of just sitting over us, and it’s kind of been a wave after wave with it.”
Hykin says a mass of humid air has positioned itself above northeast Wisconsin. It caused a lot of rain in Green Bay over the weekend.
“Almost four inches,” she told WTAQ. “3.92 inches over the last three days.”
That includes 3.42 inches on Sunday–a record for that day.
“We’ve been hoping for some precipitation, but not this quick an amount,” Hykin laughed.
It’s caused some localized flooding concerns, but nothing major.
In Appleton and Oshkosh rainfall totaled over two inches.
