MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Manitowoc is looking ahead to deer season.
The city is hosting two public meetings to discuss bow hunting.
The one-hour meetings will be held in the lower level meeting room at the Manitowoc Police Department on Aug. 18, beginning at 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Both meetings will cover the purpose for the hunt, the type of permissions need to bow hunt in the city and the rules set by the city to have a safe hunt.
Bowhunting and landowner applications can be obtained and submitted on the city’s website or at the front counter of the police department during office hours;
All bow hunting and landowner applications need to be returned to the Manitowoc Police Department by Sept. 10 to be processed by the start of the archery season. If applications are received after this date there may be a delay in approval.
