OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ) — EAA AirVenture kicks off officially next week, the first time it’s done so in two years.
Dick Knapinski is the EAA AirVenture spokesman, and he is delighted.
“It is a joy to be talking about it isn’t of not talking about it,” Knapinski told WTAQ’s ‘The Morning News with Matt and Earl’. “Or talking about why it isn’t.”
Last year, the 75th year of operation for EAA, the annual air show and convention was canceled.
“Let’s call this year 75+1,” Knapinski joked.
Masks are recommended but not required at the show.
The show will include a number of airshows, historical aircraft, cutting-edge military and civilian aircraft, and more.
“Enjoy the day, walk around in the morning, look at airplanes, and then find a spot along the flight line in the afternoon and enjoy the air show,” Knapinski said.
It starts on Monday the 26th and runs until August 1st.
