GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A Green Bay company is celebrating 150 years in the business.
GLC Minerals has been operating since 1871. The company manufactures products used as animal feed, mineral fillers and soil conditioners.
Wes Garner is the fifth-generation CEO and owner of the business. He tells FOX 11 he’s already looking ahead to when he finally passes it on to his children.
“It’s just a great honor to have made it 150 years. There is no guarantees of tomorrow, and I share that with my kids. I say it’s not about a legacy. It’s about a chance to be entrepeneural. It’s about a chance to change, and whatever you do, don’t just do what dad did because it won’t be enough to make it another generation.”
To mark the occasion, the company held a celebration at Hotel Northland.
