MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A higher number of COVID-19 cases were reported Thursday in Wisconsin than in previous days.
The state Department of Health Services reported 208 new coronavirus cases for Thursday, raising the seven-day average of new confirmed infections to 85.
The seven-day average positive percentage by test remains at 1.3%
The seven-day average of deaths remains at one, with one new death being linked on COVID-19, the illness caused by the coronavirus.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 613,484 confirmed cases and 7,335 confirmed deaths.
Vaccinations rose to 5,658,051 doses administered. A total of 50.6% of the population (2,945,938 people) had received at least one dose, with 47.8% (2,558,264) having completed their vaccine series as of Thursday.
