MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — COVID-19 case numbers stayed steady on Friday.
The state reported 191 new COVID-19 cases, making the seven-day case average 144.
Although the number of new cases was more than the previous day, the seven-day average continues to fall.
The percent positive by test also continues to trend down. It was listed as 1.5% Friday.
DHS also reported no new deaths, making the seven-day average of new deaths, five.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 610,740 confirmed cases and 7,150 confirmed deaths in Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, the state’s vaccination rates continue to rise. The latest DHS data shows 48.2% of residents have received at least one dose, while 42.5% have completed the vaccination series.
