SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Sheboygan police say an argument escalated to a stabbing and led to the arrest of an Oshkosh man.
Officers were called to a home in the 1800 block of Bell Ave. Thursday for a report of a man who had been stabbed.
The investigation determined there was a gathering at the residence when an argument broke out between one of the guests and a resident.
During the disturbance a 39-year-old Oshkosh man stabbed the resident multiple times with a knife. This resulted in non-life threatening injuries to the 29-year-old victim, who was treated and released from the hospital.
The suspect was located in the area and taken into custody.
He has been referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office for a charge of substantial battery and resisting arrest.
The victim is also referred for a charge of battery and jailed for a probation violation.
