TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ) – UPDATE: Police in Two Rivers are continuing to investigate the deadly shooting of a 17 year old boy. A 21 year old Manitowoc man, identified as James Walcott, has been taken into custody.
Officers were initially called to a home in the 18-hundred block of 28th Street just late Monday night.
Two Rivers P-D is also receiving help in this case from state authorities as well. The Police Chief believes this is an isolated incident and the public is not in danger.
TWO RIVERS, WI (WTAQ) – A police investigation is underway in Two Rivers after what’s being described as a deadly shooting.
It’s happening in the 1800 block of 28th Street. Two Rivers Police Chief Brian Kohlmeier says his officers arrived just before midnight.
“The officers arrived on scene and found a young adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. He was seriously injured.”
Kohlmeier says despite life saving efforts the man died.
“So, we’ve asked for the assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Justice, as well as the State Patrol. They’re very good at documenting crime scenes such as this.”
Police say they have a number of people in custody, those people are being questioned and the public is not in danger.
The neighborhood is just west of the East Twin River.
