LUXEMBURG, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The former Luxemburg Speedway started its 2021 season Sunday as The ‘Burg Speedway.
In addition to the name change, race nights were switched from Friday nights to Sunday nights.
Fans gathered in the stands to watch the first race of the season.
Speedway organizers tells FOX 11 the event is fun for the whole family.
“It’s a new experience. It’s different than any sort of racing you’ll see on TV. They’re much more fast-paced and action-packed. The races are shorter and much more hotly contested. And you’ll just see a lot of racing in our three-and-a-half hour program out here,” says Joe Orsini, the public relations spokesperson for The ‘Burg Speedway.
Grandstand admission is still $10 for anyone over the age of 14.
Children 13-and-under get in for free with an adult admission.
