GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Things are about to look a lot more normal at Wisconsin Timber Rattlers games.
Effective immediately, face masks are no longer required at Fox Cities Stadium. Fans who still wish to wear masks may do so. The buffer zones around the dugouts and bullpens are also being removed.
Beginning June 1, capacity at the stadium will increase to almost 100% from its current 25%. Socially distanced seating will still be available in two sections of the stadium.
The announcements come on the heels of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s new guidelines allowing vaccinated people to forgo wearing masks in most situations. The news also comes as the Milwaukee Brewers say they will open up American Family Field to 100% capacity beginning June 25.
