APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The city of Appleton is following the CDC’s new recommendation on face coverings.
The CDC announced those who are fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large or small, without wearing a face covering or physically distancing.
“This marks an important milestone in our fight against COVID-19 and recognizes the progress we have made as a community and country through mitigation and vaccination,” said Mayor Jake Woodford.
The city encourages those who are not vaccinated, to get vaccinated.
As of May 13, more than 31,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered at the Fox Cities COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic.
Now through May 27, the FCCVC will only administer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine along with scheduled second doses of Pfizer and Moderna.
