(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers lost their sixth straight game Friday night, falling 6-1 to the Florida Marlins in Miami.
Brent Suter took the loss, falling to 2-2 on the season. He left the game in the third inning with a leg cramp.
After that, the roof caved in.
Reliever Patrick Weigel came in with 2 runners on and gave up a grand slam to former Brewers minor leaguer Isan Diaz and the Marlins were off and running.
Milwaukee’s only run came in the fourth inning when Pablo Reyes single to left scored Luis Urias.
Trevor Rogers got the win for Miami to improve his record to 4-2. He pitched 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits and 2 walks while striking out 6.
The two teams meet again tonight with a 4:35 pre-game. The game can be heard on 1360 and 97.5 WTAQ.
