GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) -One person was hurt in a shooting at a busy Green Bay intersection Tuesday evening. Police Commander Kevin Warych says the incident happened around 7:20 PM at a gas station at the corner of Military and Mason Streets on the city’s west side.
Two people are in custody, according to police.
Police are saying the incident is not believed to be a random act, with the involved parties knowing each other.
It’s not clear whether or not the shooting is connected to a string of violence that occurred last year between a group of loosely related people that were linked to several shootings in Green Bay.
“That’s one of the things investigators [will] work on,” said Warych. “To ensure that we can connect suspects to multiple crimes.”
The person shot is in critical condition.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call the Green Bay Police Department at (920) 448-3200.
