FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – One of the suspects in what police called Fond du Lac’s largest heroin seizure was convicted Monday.
Torry Howard, 28, pleaded no contest to two charges: heroin delivery and possession with intent to deliver cocaine. Four other counts were dismissed, court records show.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 13.
The other suspect, Demetri Howard, returns to court May 13 for a plea hearing.
According to the criminal complaint, on Feb. 5, 2020, officers learned a supply of heroin was coming from Detroit to Fond du Lac. After surveillance and finding a vehicle, they found the drugs in the 200 block of Linden Street.
Once officers searched the vehicle, they found more than 1/3 pound of heroin, 1/2 pound of cocaine and marijuana. The combined street value was estimated at $71,000.
