SEYMOUR, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Four students at Seymour Middle School required medical treatment last week after a student brought edibles to school containing THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.
One student brought the items to school, and three other also ingested them, Supt. Laurie Asher told FOX 11 Tuesday.
The items did not contain other drugs or substances, she said.
“We did take disciplinary action based on what we found out in the investigation. While we cannot share what that was, it was based on each individual student’s situation,” Asher said.
School leaders determined no other students were affected. The building was never evacuated as the illnesses were determined not to be related to the educational environment.
