GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay police say a male body was recovered from the Fox River Sunday afternoon.
“He was found at the mouth of the East River, up on the rocks, by somebody on the other shore,” said Commander Paul Ebel.
Authorities say the body was pulled roughly between 2:20 and 2:30 p.m. Ebel says it was in a spot where the public wouldn’t typically have easy access.
“This is more than likely the individual who jumped off the Main Street bridge a few weeks ago. He was wearing the same clothing, so we’re pretty confident that it’s him. We’re waiting for the [Medical Examiner] to ID that body,” Ebel said. “The body was secured and sent to Madison for an autopsy.”
No other details were provided by authorities.
