GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) — Green Bay Police are looking for additional victims to come forward, if any, in the case against David Villareal, the 2nd Grade Baird Elementary School teacher accused of sexually abusing students.
Commander Paul Ebel says one potential additional victim reached out Monday morning.
“If you were a victim or are the parent of a child who you think may have been a victim we would be more than happy to talk to you,” Ebel said Monday. “Don’t go directly to the school district. Just give us a call.”
Ebel compared the situation to the Todd Naze case, in which Naze, a former Green Bay Southwest School Counselor, was convicted of secretly recording teachers and students alike in a staff bathroom.
“We don’t know how many victims there are,” Ebel said. We look at the Naze case from Southwest High School, and we had a number of people–over 50–contact us that they might be a victim in [that] case.”
Villareal is accused of inappropriately touching students at his desk between 2015 and 2017.
If you or a loved one are believed to be a victim, call the Green Bay Police Non-Emergency Line at 920-448-3200 and ask for Detective Craig Brey.
