APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Johnny Scott was convicted Tuesday of killing his girlfriend in 2017, and will be sentenced June 15.
Scott, 62 pleaded no contest to first-degree intentional homicide, while two other counts were dismissed, court records show.
The first-degree intentional homicide conviction carries a mandatory life prison term, with Judge Gregory Gill Jr. deciding if or when Scott would be first eligible to request parole.
Scott shot and killed Annie Ford, 48, during a Sept. 21, 2017 argument at their Appleton residence.
According to the criminal complaint, Scott and Ford fought throughout the night. Police were called to their home twice before she was shot.
