DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Seymour man was arrested Sunday for his fourth offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says at approximately 5:18 a.m. Sunday morning, a trooper found a crashed vehicle in lanes of traffic along Interstate 41 southbound near De Pere.
According to authorities, the vehicle was unoccupied at the time the Trooper located it, but found a pair of shoes near the vehicle.
A 30-year-old man named Eric Shemenkowski was later found walking shoeless on a nearby ramp by authorities and showed signs of impairment.
Shemenkowski refused to complete field sobriety tests and a warrant was issued by authorities for a blood draw that was conducted at a local hospital.
Shemenkowski was later booked into the Brown County Jail on charges of 4th offense operating while under the influence, failure to install ignition interlock device, unsafe lane deviation, operating without a license, failure to report an accident, and hit run property adjacent to highway.
