FOND DU LAC, WI (WTAQ-WLUK)— Paramedics transported two people to the hospital this evening, after an apartment fire in Fond du Lac caused smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were called to Countryside West Apartments at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
Crews saw visible smoke coming from the second-floor apartment.
Firefighters were able to quickly enter and knock down the fire, but one of the units was still badly damaged.
Officials say the fire was caused by a flare-up of grease while cooking.
