BROWN COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Brown County Public Works says a construction project along County Highway O (Allouez Avenue) from East River Drive to County Highway V will begin in April.
The project is set to tentatively start on April 5 and end in mid-August. The schedule is dependent on weather.
Minor access delays are to be expected while work is taking place at the end of driveways. If a property has two driveways, one will always be opened.
Westbound traffic along CTH O will remain opened as well as access to all businesses.
The project will have three stages:
- Stage one – CTH V (Lime Kiln Road) to West Target entrance: Two way traffic will be maintained. One side of the road will get work done at a time. Stage one is expected to last approximately four weeks.
- Stage two – West Target entrance to CTH XX (Bellevue Street): Only westbound traffic will be open. Eastbound traffic will be detoured using CTH XX, Hoffman Road, CTH GV (Monroe Road) and CTH V. Stage two is expected to last six weeks.
- Stage three – CTH XX (Bellevue Street) to East River Drive: Westbound traffic will be open. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to CTH X (Webster Street) and CTH XX (Hoffman road/Bellevue Street)/ The final stage is expected to last four weeks.
Mailboxes on CTH V (Lime Kiln Road) will temporarily be relocated during the construction. This will be completed by Brown County at no cost to the property owners.
Temporary mailboxes for the 1929-2050 (stage one) and 1581-1929 (stage two) address ranges will be placed at the northeast corner of the CTH O and Fire Lane Drive intersection.
