OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Oshkosh Defense is contributing $30,000 to an organization that takes military veterans to see important monuments and locations.
OId Glory Honor Flight says it has received more than $200,000 in donations from Oshkosh Defense since 2011.
“At Oshkosh Defense, we stand behind those who dedicate their lives to protecting others,” Oshkosh Defense president John Bryant said in a news release. “Many of us personally know the sacrifices and challenges that military service may bring.”
“We are so humbled and proud to receive this contribution on behalf of our veterans,” Diane MacDonald, Old Glory Honor Flight executive director, said in a news release. “This gift marks the 10th year that Oshkosh Defense has supported our mission. We are very appreciative of their continued support especially during the pandemic.”
Old Glory Honor Flight has suspended its veterans’ trips to Washington, D.C., during the coronavirus pandemic, but hopes to resume once travel restrictions are lifted.
