GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ) – The Green Bay City Council will discuss concerns over the 2020 election tonight.
At issue are allegations made this month by a conservative website following a release of emails related to the election that show city staff, including former City Clerk Kris Teske, were concerned about the influence and level of access granted to the Center for Tech and Civic Life, a left-leaning group financed by Facebook Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Several people testified last week in Madison alleging that the group had access to absentee ballots and took over election duties from city staff.
“We are committed to administering our elections in a non-partisan way with absolute integrity”
Mayor Eric Genrich was a guest on WTAQ’s Morning News with Matt & Earl and has denied the allegations.
“There’s been no evidence presented of anything untoward that happened in terms of voter fraud or anything of that nature.”
Genrich says emails and a step by step process of how the election, and who was involved, is available on the city’s website.
