(METRO) MARYVALE, AZ – Travis Shaw’s throwing error led to a four-run first inning for the Padres as the Brewers lost 13-3 at Maryvale Park.
Brett Anderson pitched into the third and took the loss. Pablo Reyes homered for Milwaukee. Jake Cousins gave up five in relief.
The Crew visit the Dodgers today.
Braun not ready to say he’s retired: Longtime Brewers slugger Ryan Braun is leaving the door slightly cracked open to keep playing. He stopped by camp Monday and said he’s strongly leaning toward retirement but is still working out if something were to change. The Brewers declined Braun’s option for 2021.
