WARRENSBURG, MO (WTAQ-WLUK) – The trial for the man who allegedly killed Nick and Justin Diemel has been moved forward several months.
Garland Nelson allegedly killed the Shawano County brothers, who went to Nelson’s farm in northwestern Missouri related to the cattle business. Court documents allege Nelson fatally shot the brothers who came to collect a $250,000 check.
Nelson’s trial had been scheduled to start Feb. 7, 2022, but in court Monday, the trial was moved to June 6, 2021, court records show.
A three-week trial is planned.
