OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A Dec. 6 trial has been set for an Oshkosh West High School student who allegedly stabbed a police officer.
Grant Fuhrman, 18, is charged with one count of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for the Dec. 3, 2019 incident. Prosecutors say Fuhrman was shot after stabbing Oshkosh West High School police resource officer Mike Wissink. Students and staff evacuated, and classes were cancelled for two days.
The three-week trial was scheduled during a motions hearing Wednesday.
A defense motion to suppress statements given to the police is still pending, with another hearing to be scheduled on that issue, court records show.
