GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — As the coronavirus pandemic continues, the American Red Cross is hoping people come out to a blood drive at the Johnsonville Tailgate Village near Lambeau Field.
The Green Bay Packers Give Back Community Blood Drive is set for Feb. 19 and 26 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Free parking is available in Lots 2 and 3 off Lombardi Avenue. Appointments are strongly encouraged, with walk-ins accepted as space for social distancing allows. Donors will receive a Green Bay Packers giveaway item as supplies allow.
The Red Cross is not only looking for all blood types, but is also looking for donations from those who have recovered from COVID-19. Their blood has antibodies which can be used in treatments for those suffering from the disease.
