FOX LAKE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A truck driver has died following a crash Monday in Dodge County.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says it responded to a crash on Highway 33 just west of County Highway A shortly after 10 a.m.
An initial investigation determined a 1996 Peterbilt truck-tractor with trailer was traveling east when it began to jackknife and partially cross the center line into the westbound line.
An westbound 2017 Mack truck-tractor with trailer struck the left side of the truck.
The 60-year-old driver and lone person of the Mack truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The 73-year-old driver and lone person of the Peterbilt suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to a Madison hospital, according to the sheriff’s office.
The crash remains under investigation.
