GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Those going to get COVID-19 vaccines at the Prevea clinic at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay are asked to avoid one of the entrances because of dangerous road conditions.
The entrance off Bay Settlement Road is closed. Those getting vaccinated should use the S. Circle Drive entrance off Nicolet Drive only. Then, follow signs to the Kress Events Center.
Clinic operators say the closing of the Bay Settlement entrance is causing some delays around campus, so you’re advised to allow a few extra minutes of drive time.
Crews are working to improve the Bay Settlement entrance.
Road conditions in some areas remain poor as a result of snow from Winter Storm Alexander and extreme cold weather preventing road salt from having an impact.
Green Bay Police has been alerting those on the road to continue to use caution as the frigid arctic air mass has caused hazardous driving conditions. Extremely low temperatures prevent road salt from melting ice effectively. Police are urging drivers to use caution when approaching intersections, slowing, or stopping.
