MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — The next group of Wisconsinites that will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine will include teachers, Medicaid long-term care program enrollees, and grocery store workers.
That was announced by state officials on Tuesday.
It comes a day after the state officially opened vaccine eligibility to Wisconsinites over the age of 65. With over 700,000 Wisconsinites in that age group, officials warn vaccination will take some time and vaccination of the next group may not take place until March 1st.
People who work and live in congregate settings, such as homeless shelters and prisons, will also be included in that group alongside those in the agricultural industry.
