KOSSUTH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A man in Manitowoc County was killed after a car crashed into the back of the tractor he was driving, deputies say.
The crash happened Dec. 30 around 6:30 p.m. on Polifak Rd., west of Popelar Rd. in the town of Kossuth.
Officials say 57-year-old Richard Dufek of Whitelaw was driving westbound on Polifak Rd. when he was struck from behind by a 60-year-old Whitelaw woman.
Dufek was ejected from the tractor and pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman sustained minor injuries.
The Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office ruled the preliminary cause of death as blunt force trauma.
The crash remains under investigation.
